Services

CountryHouse services are provided naturally, by design.

CountryHouse residences look and feel like a family home. Within familiar surroundings, services such as meals and personal care are delivered as a natural part of everyday household life.

Residents have access to a hands-on kitchen so they can enjoy simple food preparation activities. Each single-level house has one or two dining rooms, two living rooms, and bedrooms clustered in two quiet wings. This design enables residents to comfortably dine and relax together in smaller groups.

Circular pathways encourage barrier-free walking, both indoors and out.

Amenities also include a choice of private or companion bedroom, gracious common areas, a discreet health care office, large gathering room with fireplace, and an enclosed courtyard with patio, gardens and water feature.

Families enjoy visiting in the beautiful living and garden areas.

Staff members are carefully chosen and trained.

We hire people who are patient, kind and empathetic by nature; who will provide care with the utmost respect and professionalism. The Director and Nurse are experienced leaders who spend quality time with residents every day.

Services include 24-hour supervision, daily home-cooked meals, medication supervision, help with bathing, dressing and hair care, housekeeping, laundry and transportation.

A qualified program coordinator oversees LifeCycles, our integrated program curriculum and an important part of daily life, seven days a week.

CountryHouse caregivers do not wear medical uniforms, in order to assist residents with the activities of daily living as unobtrusively as possible. They are trained to use creative intervention and communication tools when residents are distressed. Caregivers also spend quality, one-on-one time with residents, engaging them with the weekly reminiscing activities that are part of the LifeCycles program.

Knowing each person's story is the key to personalized care.

Individualized service plans are created after a thorough assessment of needs as well as interests, daily routines, personal history and preferences. Knowing as much as possible about each person helps staff interact with residents on a very personal level and provide care more effectively.

It's also very reassuring, facilitating a calm and orderly environment.

Changing needs are managed through regular follow up assessments. Every effort is made to provide the care that will enable each person to live safely and with dignity.
